Without rest, with the growing wagon of gold,
our traveller was walking…
He forgot Hope and the reason for collecting all the gold.

Fearing a failure of the grand plan,
one night the Crow stole back Hope’s ring.
Freedom didn’t notice the loss
and nothing else could remind him of Hope anymore.

Once assured that Freedom had lost all compassion,
Grey left him alone on his path – travelling the World on the quest for gold.

Once the man robbed a peaceful village,
another time he set an ancient town on fire.
And from every place he stole the gold without pity,
while generously vowing -“Giving it back is my duty”!
Year after year, the memories of his previous life
were slowly fading away, all he thought of was gold.

One day, after 10 long years of wandering across the World,
he stood in front of a caravan, the likes of which no-one had ever seen.
It took hours to travel from beginning to end!
Every morning under the sun, the golden caravan shone like a dragon in the forest.
At last Freedom had reached his goal – he had collected all the golden coins in the World.

On this fateful day, destiny brought him back to Draconia.
He’d walked thousands of roads,
sailed seas, crossed forests and climbed mountains,
but he’d forgotten why he collected the golden coins,
he’d forgotten about Hope, the sadness and the longing for her.

He had forgotten his family, tribe and land,
true friends who risked their lives for him,
all the goodness and love he once spread to everyone.
He had forgotten the cruel Móhrdai and the battles…
The only thing that mattered now was his mountain of gold.

The Crow met him in the woods
and welcomed him as an old friend.
“Freedom, hero of heroes,
did you find Hope after all these years?”

“Who needs hope when I have all this gold?” answered Freedom.
“Why would I waste time looking for trivial things?
Only the poor need hope, not I. I can have anything I want.
My grand quest is over, all I need now is a palace,
where I can live with my treasure.”

After a while, Grey realised that Freedom had forgotten
all about his past, the curse, Hope and the quest to save her.
Grey shivered in dread! He had failed Móhrdai! What would happen to him now?
Freedom was no good to them if he couldn’t bring Hope back!

Fearing punishment, the crow said,
“Master, look at this beautiful land – it is the best you can find!
You seem to be the richest man in the World, why don’t you
build your palace here and enjoy these riches with endless feasts and pleasures?”
